Plastic Free July Workshop - Hosted by Brandywine Zoo

Plastic Free July Workshop

Saturday, July 12 | 2:00–3:00 PM | Scout Café
FREE | Registration Recommended

Celebrate Plastic Free July with a fun, hands-on workshop hosted by the team from Brandywine Zoo!

Give your old t-shirts a second life by transforming them into reusable tote bags and dog toys—no sewing experience required. It's an easy, creative way to reduce waste while learning simple upcycling techniques you can use at home.

Bring a few t-shirts (the more you bring, the more projects you can make!). Different colored shirts are perfect for creating colorful dog toys, and graphic or logo tees make especially fun tote bags.

While you're here, grab your favorite drink from Scout Café, connect with your community, and spend an afternoon creating something useful while helping the planet.

What to Bring:

  • Old t-shirts (clean and ready to repurpose)

  • Different colors if you'd like to make dog toys

  • Graphic or logo tees if you'd like a unique tote bag

No sewing skills needed. All ages are welcome, and all workshop materials are provided—just bring your shirts and your creativity!

We can't wait to create with you and celebrate Plastic Free July together.
